Marc Nobbs’ Twitter profile reads, “Gentlemen Author, Bean Counter, Born & Bred Wulfrun, Husband, Dad. But not in that order.”

It sums him up pretty well.

Although born in Walsall, Marc claims to be from Wolverhampton since the blood running through his veins is Gold and Black. Either way, it still makes him a Black Country Boy.

These days Marc lives in the Northamptonshire countryside just a stone’s throw from where Princess Diana is buried and the Gunpowder Plot was plotted. It’s far cry from his inner-city roots, but that’s what an education does for you. He studied Physics at the University of Aberystwyth followed by a postgraduate qualification in Education at the University of Swansea. After five years of toil, he realised he was a terrible teacher and now works as the Legal Accounts specialist at a local Law firm.

Marc started writing as a hobby just after leaving university in 1998. In 2005 he sold his first story to the illustrated erotic story website Ruthie’s Club. The illustration for “Scratched” by Gloklund was pretty cool. In all Marc had 13 stories published and illustrated by Ruthie’s Club before its unfortunate demise.

Marc’s first Westmouthshire novel, Kissed by a Rose, was released in 2009 by Phaze Books.

When he’s not writing, blogging, counting other people’s money or being a loving husband and father, Marc enjoys the peace and quiet of his garden, where he grows all types of quite magnificent fruit and vegetables.
