New “Kissed by a Rose” Teasers

The designing book “Teasers”—small graphics for sharing on social media that contain a short little snippet of the book’s text—is a fun distraction from all manner of life’s travails. And whenever I’m trying to get back into the ‘role’ of being Marc Nobbs, it’s one of the things that I turn to as an aide.

It’s Been a While…

My last post here on the blog was back in September when I announced the re-release date for Kissed by a Rose. Then after a good six months of being able to find the time to work at being Marc Nobbs, things changed. It’s been a hectic few months for me since October. Not as a writer, but as a living breathing person with a job and a family life.

Questions that need Answers

I’ll happily admit, I think I’m really looking forward to the next one hundred thousand words or so.

A Note About Word Counts

And as a hobby, the stuff ‘around’ the actual writing is something I find interesting just as much as the writing itself. And one of those things is word counts. At heart, I’m a stat hound. I love numbers, that’s why I work with them day in and day out. The Writing Habit

2015—5 years ago now—was the last time I was particularly active as a writer, both from the actual writing point of view and a promotional one. My last book was published in June of that year, for example.

Weekly Update 04/02/2019

It’s been another good week in terms of writing. Not stellar, but good. I added about three thousand words to The Truths We Live pushing it past the seventy-five thousand word mark. I didn’t write every day last week, but on the days I did I was adding between five-hundred to a thousand words each sitting.

Weekly Update

As part of my desire to get back up to speed, I’m committing myself to posting an update on my progress with my writing at least once a week. So here’s this week’s update.

A Different Voice

I mentioned in my last blog post that I’d reached a stage in The Truths We Live that was causing me some bother.
Well, I’m please to say that I’ve written said blog post and got past the roadblock.

A Few Days Away

I had a few days away with the family last week. It was a nice relaxing time as evidenced by my FitBit. Usually, on a workday, I’ll do somewhere between twelve and fifteen thousand steps. For the first two days of last week, I did less than five thousand on each day. Yep, I was […]
