Time to Be Creative Again
It should be pretty obvious from my output on here, on Facebook and on Twitter, that my primary focus since the turn of the year has been the current serialisation of A Wounded Heart on my Patreon and its eBook release at the end of March.
Tomorrow will see Chapter 15 published on Patreon, which marks the halfway point of the book. Five more weeks of three chapters a week and the whole of the book will have been serialised.
I do, of course, have the book’s pre-order page up at Amazon, but I’ve yet to actually finalise the ePub I need to send them. I’m hoping to do that over the next couple of weeks.
This means though that I’ve not spent very much time writing anything else since Christmas. I’ve been spending time creating teaser graphics and the like instead.
But now it’s time to get back to being creative – not that teaser graphics isn’t creative, it very much is, but writing is my first love, so it’s time to get back to that.
This week I’ve been making a real effort to write at least five hundred words a day on at least one of my current draft projects.
As always I’ve got several projects on the go, from the fourth Paul Roberston book, to completely new projects that have been floating around in the back of my mind for a while. Below is a non-binding, non-exhaustive, incomplete list of things I’m working on.
- Sequels & Series
- The Paul Robertson Saga Book 4
- I’m hopeful this will be the final book in the series. I have a working title, but I don’t want to reveal it and anyway, this will change if I end up having to write a fifth book. I’ve written the opening scene of this book.
- The Lies Series Book 3 – The Facts We Face
- I’ve written just over 15,000 of this. I’m expecting it to be a challenge as there are at least three parallel plots I want to weave into the story.
- The Big Ten Ohhh!
- This is a follow-up to The Big Four Ohhh!, set a couple of years later when Dave and Ruth go on a Road Trip from Nashville to New Orleans for their tenth wedding anniversary.
- The Paul Robertson Saga Book 4
- New Books/Series
- Turning Tricks
- This is the story of a man’s relationship with an escort he meets while attending an ‘out-of-town’ conference away from his wife in Westmouth.
- Photographer of the Bride
- The story will focus on the photographer at Chloe Goodman’s Wedding. The title will probably change
- The Ex-Wife
- Two new characters for this one, a man and his ex-wife who remain on good terms. She comes back into his life after a couple of years apart and after she remarried.
