I’ve been trying to write a blog post for The Grumpy Blog about Twitter for almost two weeks—snatching time here and there to add to it. It’s a tricky topic for me because I used to love Twitter—still do, to some extent—but it’s a different beast these days to when I started to use it over ten years ago. The post would have taken on more significance following the events of this past weekend, had I posted it last week, but doing so now would feel like ‘cashing in’ on a tragic death, so I think I’ll put off posting it for a few weeks. That gives me more time to ‘get it right’ too.
I’ve also made a start on preparing Kissed by a Rose for re-publication. I’ve designed a new cover, which I really like, although I’m not prepared to reveal it yet. And I’ve started to tidy up the e-pub originally produced by Phaze.
I’ve always thought the e-pub was a bit of a mess and certainly not at the standard I would have wanted it, so tidying it up is my first job. While I do that I’ll make any corrections that I spot. After that, I’ll read the whole thing through again as if proofing it for the first time, in the hope of catching any errors or anything I don’t like or feel needs changing as a result of the books that followed it.
I’ve also designed a new logo for “Parkland Independent Books” which will feature in e-pub of Kissed first before I go back and add it to updated copies of my other publications. The logo is below. What do you think of it?
