I’ll admit it’s been a tough few months. Work has gone mad, which in a lot of ways is good but it does mean I haven’t been able to find time to blog or write. I’m determined to change that.
If you look back at my ‘old’ blog, you’ll see that it wasn’t just about writing (or even just my writing) but covered all sorts of things. I’d like to get this blog back to that sort of situation. And using content management as I do, I think I should be able to organise the posts into different categories too. We’ll have to see how things pan out in that regard, but whatever happens to the structure of the pages, I do think I’d like to do more on things like current affairs, TV, film, culture etc. Just to shake things up a bit. I need to get back the blogging habit, because ultimately, blogging isn’t just good for the soul, it’s good for the writer in me too.
As for the writing front…
A Tortured Soul sits awaiting me to complete the first draft. And as soon as I feel I’m back in the swing from writing generally, I’ll get back to it. But in order to ‘write generally’ I’ve spent the past week or so editing and updating an older story ready for release on Amazon et al. That story is Heaven in Leather and the ‘original’ version is featured in the anthology “From Back in The Day”. That re-draft is pretty much done and I plan to push it out to the various stores this weekend.
I’m also toying with an idea for a new short story. More on that as and when it becomes anything more than an idea.
But my next ‘project’ is to give the ‘original’ version of Charlotte’s Secret a good going over to clean up any errors that may still be in the text, then I’m going to push that out as a Charlotte’s Secret-Ruthie’s Club Edition. I still hold a goal of rewriting the whole thing and release it as a Westmouth Edition.
Hopefully, by then, I’ll be tackling the end of A Tortured Soul. And the sooner I can get out, the happier I’ll be.
