I’ve taken a little break from writing “A Healing Love” for the past week or so because, I have to be honest, while the past five or six chapters include some of the best writing I think I’ve ever done, they have also been emotionally very draining.

These characters—Paul, Clarissa, Emily, Mark, Imogen and the rest—are all very real to me. I know them. I’ve been living with them in my head for over a decade now, and I feel what they feel.
So when I came to write a particularly moving speech that Paul gives at the launch of “The Clarissa Trust,” and he turns to the two recipients of the first Awards the trust makes and tells them that he believes in them and that Clarissa believes in them…
Yeah, that got to me.
So, yeah, I’ve taken a little break. Just a week or so. I’ve been playing GTA Online instead.
But I’m back at it now. Time to crack on.
